Comet Skateboards, Paris Truck Co, Sector 9 wheels, Venom bushings, Cutting Edge skateboard shop
How did you get into skateboarding?:
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater piqued my interest and once my older brother got a board I could steal, there was no turning back!
What are your most memorable times skateboarding?:
Too many good ones... First North Carolina trip skating real mountains in '07, first trip to British Columbia for Danger Bay 666 in '07, first time in the ditches of Albuquerque in '08, the SkateHouseMedia formation sessions in '09, first time visiting Hawaii in '12, Skatesgiving '11 and '12, and of course many many more to come...
Which skateboarders have influenced you the most?:
I could list the names of way too many dudes who I've watched far too much footage of, but on a more real level I'd have to say the SkateHouse guys. Everyone involved truly loves skating and brings something different to the table.
Favorite places to skate?:
SkateHouse miniramp, San Fran, ABQ ditches, entire island of Oahu, British Properties
Lately I've been having far more fun going out for a day of skating with a low-key crew of my best friends rather than feeling crowded on an event hill
Have you organized any skate events?:
I played Kody Noble in a game of SKATE the other day... does that count!?
What advice do you give to a new rider?:
Have fun. Learn to turn, slow down on and RIDE your skateboard before you try to manipulate it or go fast on it. Compare your skills and style to nobody else's. Don't forget why you started.
