Warranty Guidelines

If you’re having problems with your board please contact us. We will review your submission and determine whether your board is eligible for replacement. If so, we will request you send the board to us at 97 Broadcommon Road, Bristol, RI 02809.

Please make sure the shipping is prepaid and that the package is insured for the full replacement value of the board. We recommend you use a shipping method that will provide you with a tracking number.

Please mark all areas of material failure in question with colored or masking tape so we can identify them easily. Make sure your note in the form below describes the locations as well.

If we deem your board to be eligible for warranty we will replace and send it back to you at our expense.

 

Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

While we stand behind our work and hope you enjoy your Comet skateboard, components and accessories for years to come, we understand that sometimes what you ordered isn’t what you hoped for. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return the unused product to us for a replacement or full refund.

 

If it’s used, it’s yours.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. We encourage you to ride your board often, allowing it to gather signs of use—a record of your journey together. Though we do not cover products damaged by normal wear, alterations made by the user, misuse, or fire, Comet offers a limited lifetime warranty for all boards purchased after January 1, 2019. We guarantee against manufacturing and material defects for the lifetime of the original owner. Note: if your board smashes a curb or wall it may break and is not covered by our warranty.

 

Proof of Purchase

You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. The warranty is only applicable to the original purchaser and is void if your board was purchased from another person or an unauthorized dealer (including but not limited to Craigslist or eBay).

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
