What's so green about our decks?

We don't claim to be green based on one specific aspect of our skateboards.

It has to do with the materials we use, where we source these materials, how we stick them together, how we ship them, what we do with the scraps, who we are, how we work together, and what we do in the community.

We strive every day to improve our process, enhance the performance of our decks, reduce our impact on the Earth, and play a positive role in society. All this while having fun making skateboards. That's the beauty of it.

Did you know?

'Bamboo' does not mean 'sustainable.' The type of material you use is only a small part of the sustainability equation. Bamboo is the fastest growing woody plant in the world. Under some conditions, it can grow several feet per day! This makes it a great candidate for a sustainably harvested material, but the vast majority of bamboo that you see on the market is harvested in China with poorly regulated labor practices and shipped around the world increasing our fossil fuel consumption. We need also consider the chemicals used to process the bamboo and the other materials used in conjunction with the bamboo. So, although bamboo itself is a wonderful gift to sustainability, the sustainability equation has many more variables than just material choice.
